Along the event we’ll have an art exposition of the artist Sílvia Matos, author for the symposium logo.
Silvia Matos graduated at the Instituto de Artes da Unicamp, Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, in 1987. Since then she has participated in various group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Finland. At the same time she has studied and participated in workshops with various artists such as Mary Drischtel , Marco do Valle, Carlos Fajardo, Marina Saleme, Sandra Cinto, Albano Afonso, among many others. In 1995 she was awarded the title Benemerit of Unicamp and the next year she was catalogued at the Women’s Art Library of London.
In 1991 she founded Sílvia Matos Ateliê de Criatividade. There she initiated many students in contemporary art and organized many art exhibitions . Many important artists gave lectures and workshops at the Sílvia Matos Ateliê de Criatividade . Carlos Fajardo was one of the artists that discussed there with a group of artists at the Studio, for five years and as a result of this, in 2001 the Antropoantro Group was created and since then the Sílvia Matos Ateliê de Criatividade has been the place of meetings, discussions and researches of Antropoantro. Since 2005 Sílvia Matos has dedicated herself mainly to research, her art work and the development of the Antropoantro Group, which she coordenates.
